Ordering + Access

How do I receive my templates?

After checkout, you’ll receive access via TheSyllabus.world, typically as:

  • a download (often a PDF) containing Canva link(s), and/or

  • a direct Canva template link

I can’t find my download or link. What should I do?

  • Check spam/junk if an email is involved

  • Log into your TheSyllabus.world account and check purchases/downloads

  • If still missing, email info@thesyllabus.world with your order number

Do I need a Canva account?

Yes. A free Canva account works for most templates unless Pro elements are included.

Do I need Canva Pro?

Some templates may include Pro fonts/photos/graphics. If Canva marks items as Pro, you can usually replace them with free alternatives. We can help you identify swaps.

The link says “Request access” or I can’t click “Use template.”

Send us a screenshot—this is usually a link permission issue we can fix.

Can I edit on mobile?

Yes, but desktop is usually easier for detailed edits.

What’s Included + How to Use

What’s included with my purchase?

Each product listing specifies what’s included (number of designs, formats, etc.). If anything is unclear, contact us before purchase.

Are the templates editable?

Yes. Text, colors, fonts, and most layout elements are editable in Canva unless stated otherwise.

Will these templates work with my email platform (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Flodesk, etc.)?

These are Canva designs. Many customers export and use them as visuals inside their ESP, or rebuild the layout in their ESP using the Canva design as a reference. Unless a listing explicitly says “native ESP template,” one-click importing is not guaranteed.

How do I export my designs?

Canva commonly exports as PNG/JPG/PDF/MP4 depending on what you need.

Licensing + Usage Rights

Can I use these templates for non-commercial projects?

Yes. The licensed template and included assets may appear in non-commercial projects, including end products that are not for sale, such as:

  • personal projects
  • school/community projects (not sold)
  • free resources shared publicly (not paywalled)
  • organic social posts (unpaid)
  • unpaid emails/newsletters

Key rule: the finished design can be shared, but the editable template, Canva link, and source files must not be distributed.

What does “End Products Not For Sale” mean?

It means the final output you create using the templates is shared or used without charging money and without requiring payment to access it.

Allowed examples:

  • free Instagram posts, stories, carousels (organic/unpaid)

  • a free email newsletter design

  • a free PDF or graphic you give away with no payment required

Can I use these templates to create new digital products for sale?

No. You may not use these templates (or any part of them) to create or contribute to new digital products for sale, including:

  • Canva templates, editable template packs, or resellable designs

  • social media kits, branding kits, planners, workbooks, swipe files

  • resource libraries, course downloads, or paywalled templates

  • any product where the design/template is part of what a customer is paying for

This includes selling “modified” versions. If it’s clearly derived from the template, it’s not permitted.

Can I sell end products I make with these templates?

No. You cannot use these templates to create end products for sale, physical or digital.

Not allowed examples:

  • selling digital downloads (PDFs/images) made from the templates

  • selling printed products (posters, cards, flyers, merch) using these designs

  • selling content packs or designs to clients as a paid deliverable (unless you have a separate client license from us)

Can I use these templates in paid advertisements?

No. You cannot use these templates in paid advertisements, including:

Digital paid ads

  • Meta/Facebook/Instagram ads

  • TikTok ads

  • Pinterest ads

  • Google/YouTube ads

  • LinkedIn ads

  • boosted posts / sponsored posts

Physical paid advertisements

  • billboards

  • paid print placements (magazines/newspapers)

  • paid direct mail campaigns

If you need ad usage rights, email info@thesyllabus.world to ask about a separate license (if offered).

Can I use them for organic (unpaid) marketing?

Yes. Organic posts and unpaid communications are allowed as long as the end product is not for sale and not used in paid ads.

Can I share the Canva link or files with someone else?

No. You may not share, redistribute, gift, resell, or transfer:

  • the Canva link

  • the editable template

  • any included files or assets

Can my team use them?

Team use is allowed only within the same brand/business (internal use). You may not share templates externally or across unrelated brands.

Can I use these templates for client work?

Not by default. Client use is not included unless the product listing explicitly states it. If you want client usage rights, email info@thesyllabus.world.

What happens if someone violates the license?

If misuse is detected (resale, redistribution, end products for sale, paid ads), we may:

  • revoke access to the templates

  • request removal of infringing content

  • pursue further action where appropriate

Do you offer help if I get stuck?

  • where to edit text/colors

  • guidance on swapping Canva Pro elements where possible

  • writing your marketing copy

  • building your email inside your ESP
